Wow that really made my dayGot a nice fancy gold plated certificate and $1000 for being one of the top five employees of 2012 out of over 2000 drivers and this is my first year driving!
They showed my stats and I excelled in mpg, miles driven, and out of route percentage. I was running hard all year and even if I had to drive 11 hours straight to get to my destination I just kept moving. I am glad that my hard work was recognized as speaking to other drivers who like to drive halfway and take a 10 hour at a truck stop, I drive the whole way everyday. Doesn't matter if I have to drive all night or all day, I don't shut down when the sun goes down. I am sure after 20 years of driving I may slow it down, but I will keep going hard as long as I can.
I won an award for being in the top 5 of my company!

I dont know you but im proud of you man it aint easy. I missed out this year cuz I clipped a fence. No damage to truck or fence but customer saw it and it was over. Blindside back with a 379 I thought I had it man. Anyway congrats bro!
NavigatorWife and NewNashGuy Thank this. -
Thanks Rage
Yeah those fences are hard to determine their distance sometimes. At least at night I can use my flashers as a guide to how close I am when backing, something I learned from chompi on here.
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Which company do you drive for, NewNashGuy?

Congrats...keep it up!

You didn't win it. You EARNED it. It wasn't given to you by happenstance. Keep the good work. It's good the company recognized your efforts.

Good job, driver. Proud of you. Running hard can be a good thing if you have to, but keep in mind safety is foremost.

I am glad he "won" something.
What drivers have to realise is that guys that run this way are the reasons why companies are able to cut the rates.
When trucks don't run legal it increases capacity and allows brokers to pay less to move a load.
Secondly,it's also a big reason why the FMCSA wants to crawl up every truck drivers arse.
It is nice that he was "recognised". I wonder if the driver who ran "legal" was also recognised?rachi Thanks this. -
Excellant job, Driver !
