Or just run over curb and sink your entire axles into a freshly irrigated lawn and drive off it wasnt me I swear to you! My mud tracks traced me back to base and it was 300 mls away....I know thats how bad it was. I think I broke the sprinkler line too. Roookie!

A couple of things: #1 sometimes we should learn to keep our mouth shut about some things... It takes time, experience I suppose to learn exactly WHAT those things are, but I for one would NOT tell my next company that I even went to this Orientation!! No way! Especially since you failed. They won't put it on your DAC, trust that. Even if they do, I'd guess it takes a month or more before it would show up. I would just go on to the next company on the list and make yourself available for hire, and re-start. Don't tell them either, and rest assured no one is going to ask if you've "gone to another Orientation", so don't volunteer unneeded information.
Believe me, they only look at where you worked, or where you went to school. Sometimes you gotta keep your mouth shut, and let them FIND anything that is 'abnormal'. IF then it comes up on a DAC report, just tell the truth that you 'curbed a tire'.
Somehow I think it is MORE tho, than just 'curbing a tire'. How much exp. did your school really, truly give you of 'on the road driving'? Did you go out 100 miles + runs such as Central Tech in Drumright, OK. does? Did they have a big 2-3 mile course, with backing, angle backing, cornering, etc, or was it some 200' yard long dirt lot and no actual road experience??? Was it a CDL Mill'? IF you don't know how to operate the equipment very well,,,then you might tell the next Orientation of your shortcomings that your school did not properly prepare you. You might then have a chance to go thru their school, I suppose, for maybe a refresher course?
    Well, let us know.

never forget dude that was just going a short distance from hooking to the guardhouse,

he was grinding away with showers of sparks leaving a gouged trail (on cemented and paved areas) that led right from/to the point of hookup,

by the time he got to the guardhouse the landing gear (from the grease) was on fire!

There was someone here that crashed into a van during a road test and still got someone to give him a shot. So yes, it's possible.

If the OP did not receive compensation, then it wasnt a job. Only a interview.

    Carry on and keep interviewing.

sometimes running over a curb is going to happen. no avoiding it at all. that is one of the things about the job. these truck driving schools beat it in your head that you must be perfect and that is far from the truth. anyone who gets let go for bumping a curb just needs to be cautious during future driving tests.

i try to avoid running over curbs. they can flatten tires, burst air bags and cause springs to break. but i am far from perfect. and like it was said in a few posts, anyone who says they dont hit them are full of you know what.
