Dalls, TX. The agility test is basically simulating activities you will be required to do on the job. You can find the test on youtube, just put in Schneider agility test. The entire test must be done without you going over 80% of you standing heartrate. Activities such as stepping up and down 12 inches for a minute straight...lifting 20, 40 60 pounds three times straight, walking a catwalk without falling, pulling 100 pounds, pushing 100 pounds. It's not difficult but if you go over 80% of your standing heartrate you will be sent home. So, my advice is to exercise and get your heartrate up before going to orientation.

Congrats on the job! I started with SNI in Oct and so far so good. They didnt have me redo my med card but it was only a couple months old. The agility test wasnt a big deal, Im a fatty and I didnt break a sweat. There were fatter, older and older fatter both in my class. The only person that didnt make it had a resting heartrate of 140! Honestly if you are halfway healthy you will be fine. One thing they did stress was no drinkin in the evenings. If you come in smellin like booze or they think you are hungover they will test you immediatly and send you home. With a nice black mark on your record I imagine. Im not gonna say I never had a beer or two with dinner, but I never overdid it. I met some good people during my orientation. It is long days though. Best of luck to you and drive safe!

Thanks for the advice. I don't drink so not having a beer won't be a problem. I got my itinerary yesterday so I imagine my drug test came back clean, as it should. As for the agility test I've been going through it in my garage and I come no where near my maximum heart rate limit.

cause DOT rules state that your examanation has to be done by your current employer. plus how many schools still let guys go and get their CDL's just so they can pocket the money. its also a way of the companys to cover their ###'s

I'm not understanding your comment about schools letting guys get their CDL's so they can pocket the money? In California students still have to pass the pre-trip, skills and road test at the DMV. Pass or fail the school keeps the money.
