Well, VWer's I must bid you a farewell. Recently family issues have required me to come off the road. I enjoyed my time at VW but family first and foremost. My uncle has lined up a local driving gig for me that looks like it could be something I retire from in 20 years, if I am lucky enough to live that long.

Sitting in plainfield nj waiting for a dock, still a full 2.5 hours after my appointment, after i busted tail to get over here so i can still have a couple hours left of my 70...got here an hour early, yet i'm seeing other trjcks who arrived after me getting in& out, trying to get to newark to pickup my next load so i can do a swap and get home, any other time i delivered out here they would just deadhead me home....next time i get offered a load to this place, its getting REFUSED.

Well...finally got unloaded at plainfield, unfortunately too late to make the 1700 pickup in port newark, with waynesboro, sheldon, and the broker all insisting i go in anyways. "Sure, just go in, they always load after that time!". I get there to find they closed up at 1700. They did give me permission to park there, even though i was hoping to get to a safe haven. About an hour later, as i'm setting up camp, i get a knock on my door,"hey, we're gonna go ahead and load ya!", it was already late, so i decided to stay there so i can leave early and get this swapped.
