    Hey guys, just spoke to NY state.
    They stated that that "rule has been retracted, you can place the HUT decal on the front bumper."

    They want to be able to write you a ticket when you go through their toll booths and the plate camera doesn't see the sticker.

    Mine is still going on the chrome piece between the headlights and the bumper on my w9. What happens when I decide it is time to put the bigger bumper on? With this paper we can now arguable say we had the sticker on before this change was made. I don't foresee this being a problem.

    Ok, how do you get this sticker??? What is the link? What is the due date?

    The sticker may be new (or back) but registering for the NY highway use tax isn't.

    Due date 1/1/13 - Traffic infractions issued after 2/1/13

    If you were already registered with NY HUT you would have received a letter in the mail about it.

    I have not received any letter of notification. I have filed for HUT in Illinois, and there was no questions about NY new decal requirement.
    So, I should simply go on the website and register, by ordering the sticker, right?

    Illinois doesn't have HUT. It sounds like you never registered with NY HUT and still ran in NY. Carriers like you are why they have to bring back the stupid sticker
