This is my 3rd time with food poisioning. 2 of those times I was in a truck. I would say more people get food poisioning than they think. Most pass it off for the flu, I have had both and with food poisioning I thought I was dying, then later I wish I would have!:biggrin_25523:

Same here. But I have no problems eating chili. But I'll freakin' starve to death before I'll eat at any Wendy's again!

I had a big dinner at a "nice" steak house in Sterling Colorado one time. Had dinner, took a bit of a hike, then hit the sleeper cab. Woke up in the middle of the night literally "running" from both ends. I was sick for three days with this before I felt safe to drive again. I checked into a motel there where I could be close to the head.

Dispatch had a fit, but I was too #### sick to care.

My wife and I were on our way from SD to TX. We got to Hutchinson, KS and I woke up at about 4 am sick to my stomach. We went to Wally World to get some meds for me and some food for my wife. Luckly there was a hotel with truck parking. We were stuck in that hotel in Hutchinson, KS for 4 nights. That was the worst I have ever had the flu. My poor wife had to live off soup and McDonalds. Then when I got to feeling a little better I was really dehydrated so my wife had me drink Pedialyte. It worked...I just shouldn't have drank the whole bottle. That made me get the skooters for another day or so.

Then on night 2 or 3 while I was passed out my wife was on the computer and kept hearing something move in the garbage.....just like that a mouse jumped out and ran across the room and vanished through a whole in the wall behind the heater. My wife demanded we get another room cuz she hates mice. It was terrible trying to move rooms in between trips to the bathroom.

Needless to say now we are a rolling medicine cabinet. There was a bright side. We were newly engaged and my wife had alot of wedding planning to do that she was able to do via internet and phone.

I could still kick my brother-in-laws butt for getting me sick.

Yup, the only time I know I got it, it hit me less than 5 hrs after I ate the contaminated food. I hope I never go thru that again!

I was thinking about the same thing. Hoefully this does not happen too often.

i had a 3 stop Home Depot load and during the trip was bitten by a spider. i had an allergic reaction, my face swelled up, I looked like the elephant man. Very embarassing, but the moment that last stop was made i went to an urgent care and got some meds. then called work and said "gimme a day before i run again" It sucked for a few days, but its the career we chose.
