Drug testing

Yes, and there are that many chronic drug users who think they should drive a truck to support their habit.

 

I don't do drugs and don't drink

 

I do nicotine, and caffeine, sometimes acetaminophen when I have a head ache

 

yup. but do you notice how helpful all the responses are? not many truckers have too much patience with those that chose to use drugs and then want to try to get around the system put in place to keep them out of a truck. the majority of truck drivers are conscientious and safe. and the system DOES weed out most of the druggies, regardless of how they try to scam it.

its one thing for someone to say "i had problems in the past...drug conviction for pot 10 years ago..." and something else entirely to say "im worried cause i did pot 10 days ago...who out there wont give me a hair test".

 

I've never done drugs/ pot before. I've been driving since 95 I've had one ticket and that was a parking ticket. Drugs are for pepole that can't handle life. I have been drug tested many times since 95 and to have one bad test screw me up that hurts. I know it only takes one time. I've had other driving jobs since. But like a lot of company's tell you one thing and give you something els I'm just sick of the company I drive for now , as for a hair test I'm not afraid of that at all

 

No wonder why we keep seeing so many dumb accidents like tearing hoods off in easy back in spots, just drivers dragging someone's car for miles before noticing, it's all these druggies we keep seeing post here cruising around with their drug fried brains.

 

From FMCSA for year 2012 roadside inspection violation statistics we find in 48th place at 0.12%: "Driver Uses Or Is In Possession Of Drugs"; In 38th place at 0.25% was "Possession/Use/Under Influence Alcohol-4hrs Prior To Duty". Surprisingly ahead of everything BUT three paperwork violations at 4th place with 7.88% was "Non-English Speaking Driver". What I am wondering is how all those drivers even got a CDL, since they are only given in English?
