    Bad day for trucking

    [h=2]Storm Central on Facebook[/h]
    If you are traveling anywhere in Central Indiana today, please totally avoid I70 near Plainfield (near mile marker 59). As snow squalls and near white out conditions began this afternoon, slick conditions caused vehicles to loose control. Initial reports of a 50 vehicle+ pileup has closed the interstate for at least the next 5 hours as the pileup is cleaned up.

    If driving in wintry conditions, please use extreme caution and slow down!

    There are advantages to not making enough, not as exposed to weather conditions sitting in my living room. I had a little fun in NE Iowa yesterday, but have avoided that part of IN with my current employer. I don't miss it a bit, Id rather drive 2 lanes in IL than I-70 around Indy when the weather is bad.

    Too many people, including those driving trucks, trying to get someplace, and not enough attention paid to changing conditions.

    Well do not have to worry about them blaming any certain carrier,seems just about all of them where involved.

    For the reports it seems a 4 wheeler ran into a truck slowing down.

    No, it can't be, a 4 wheeler running into a truck? :biggrin_2556: We all know if the truck had not been there at that precise second, that poor little 4 wheeler would not have ran into him, which caused all the others to follow suit.

When weather starts to get bad, and I can't see and surrounded by impatient #####, i ditch off into the closest parking haven i can.....

    Wow that pic reminds me of how I'd throw all my Matchbox cars and trucks into a pile when mom called me for dinner!
