What I hate is move over to let a few 4 wheelers merge or some big trucks and no one lets you back over. A parade behind you so you can't back out and you are hanging there with no place to go classy.:biggrin_25524:

well lets look at it another way- our lawmakers have trucks going 55 and cars going 65 and theres another part of the problem. let me say this i have driven cars, pick up trucks, and semis and 2 yrs .ago i got a motorcycle endorsement! in other words i see things from all sides, but i must side with trucker jo. and i gave up motorcycling because of ignorant 4 wheelers!

This part of the thread is interesting. I can't tell you when a truck last moved left to allow me to merge onto the highway... and to be honest, it doesn't bother me. I figured there had to be a reason why they stay in their lane and have just always accepted it.

But then again, Pennsylvania entrance/exit ramps aren't the best... which also provides a lesson in patience. Some of the cloverleafs are so tight you can't get any speed, some of the on-ramps aren't much longer than a semi, and many (at least around here) have on-ramps that, in short distance, turn into off-ramps. And it is those combined on-/off-ramps that are my very favorites -- NOT! :biggrin_25510:

And, of course, they're always in high traffic areas with cars darting everywhere. I can't imagine trying to navigate a big truck through one of those. Hats off to you guys and gals! :biggrin_25514:
