And just to stay on topic, why should a LEO accept that the time I wrote on the BOL is right and the time stamped by the shipper is not?

The two real points of my post are;

1. Shipper time stamps are arbitrary and innacurate and should not be used to convict anyone of an infraction.

2. They should not be used as evidence to convict someone unless their accuracy can be proved and the accused has the right to cross-examine the evidence/accuser.

 

I watched those clips, they were neat to watch. She was an atheist, ok, and I don't believe 100% in her philosophy, but a lot of it I do.

And this may be ironic - but almost everything she talks about is actually very biblical. I am a Christian by choice, and I find it very easy to apply Ayn Rand's philosophy to biblical beliefs. I just wish she could have made the connection between God and rationalism, because by definition, God is the very essence of logic and rationalism. A perfect being must be perfectly rational. I think the error in her philosophy is that she assumes humans are able to determine what is in their best interest. I don't think that's possible, and that's why I think we need God, to guide us in that direction. Love, after all, is by definition the most selfish possible act.

I have no idea what Jesus said about charity. But, I was always told that charity begins at home. Hope you get here soon, I need some more beer money!

 

The Bible says to love God with all your heart, soul and mind, and then love others as you do yourself - which means love others in direct proportion to how much you love yourself.

And about charity, you give 10% of your money to worthy causes - not to the crackhead down the street who wants a dollar for more crack.

 

I thought you rich Landstar BCO's made so much money you could buy all the beer you need and still have money left over to take care packages to all the poor Mercer drivers camped out at your local truck stop waiting for their next load.

 

Naw, I don't pick on Mercer drivers. I was taught its not nice to pick on people with mental disabilities.
