Tacoma WA waiting to be unloaded & on hold with road service to see what they want to do about the truck occasionally smoking. Also highlighted so I can pick up all my gear that wouldnt fit on greyhound...

Edit: road service said keep an eye on smoking and oil levels but that it didnt sound like something they were too concerned with since it goes away for so long (didnt smoke at all today). weird truck. They were also kind enough to confirm my Prostar's fuel tanks are 100gal (no sticker or engraving on tank). That info will definitely help with trip planning.

Des Moines Iowa, Pilot.Always makes me proud to see a Con-way truck half blocking the parking lot.Tag axle stuck on ice.Although, probably could get going if trailer brakes weren't froze solid.Tried to help with BFH and crowbar. No luck. Will pay the price tomorrow, bad knees, kneeling on ice, will be crippled.Good thing all I have to do is drive.Wanted to get a few hundred miles down road; but unloading took 4 hours, 5 stops in.same plant, one dock twice.Loading took 3, and previous drive time.Couldn't leave without at least lending that hand a hand. Now officially break time. Will be on late board in morning, but will make up ground by Monday

props for attempting to help. I think a tow strap ought to be standard issue for every tag axle

Wish I'd known that was you! Saw that truck at the pilot. Did you see me drive by in the Pete? Loading took 10 hours at ryko. Did you unload at Vermeer? That's where I unloaded yesterday. 4 stops took 4 hours. But they gave me extra stop pay at the last 3.

Yeah, on both accounts.Had 4 stops, turned into 5 at vermeer.Made more in stop pay than relay miles.Killed my logs.Other driver unstuck, must have got it to break loose while I was in eating chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. Will roll in 8, or maybe 10, Pasco by Monday.

I wont mention the 400 mile relay that I picked up in Indy to Ia, that the other driver said he couldn't due to lack of hours. I didn't have full hours either, needed a break along the way.
Funny, he's got a load today.
    Oh well.
