I'm seeing a few loads that require security clearance to haul these loads to the FBI, but the loads don't pay anything extra. I've never noticed truck drivers with security clearance before, or maybe they just didn't want me to know or they would have to kill me
What is the cost and what needs to be done to get clearance?
Do you think it's worth the trouble and expense?
I'm NOT talking about a simple TWIC card as that is something completely different.

I got my security clearance in the army real quick when i was in ait for trucking school. after i reported a couple incidents that i did as a stupid teen to the army for part of getting in with waivers they sent the fbi to do followup i guess. kind of scared me at first but the lady assured me i was in no trouble at all. and after the interview which i never asked for because they sought me out, i got a security clearance. happened to a guy in basic i went to. they called him up out of the blue, chatted, and he got cleared for a security clearance.

Let me tell you guys something, I know about these loads because i was told and they do pay very GOOD! I dont know what Blind Driver is talking about that it does not pay alot but if you get clearence and pull these loads at secret places, you better keep it to yourself or the FBI will be knocking on your House door or on your Tractor Door!

Government security clearances are done through the Carrier's Security Officer. If your carrier has no security officer, you don't haul that kind of stuff. There are only a handful of carriers that are picked by the Government, to haul loads requiring clearances.

In my case, I had to fill out a bunch of docs for my carrier about 6 mos before delivery. We were selected to deliver a chemical to military installations and research labs. A very special chemical.
Whatever I got ( no badge, no nothing and a armed pvt. in the jump seat ) got me in to Ft. Stewart, White Sands, Camp Pendleton and a place in the Mojave, way out in the middle of nowhere. Really cool place tho....guys in white lab coats, all kinds of cool aircraft. I could hang out with those guys awhile, no problem.
Hey, Vietnam vets and aircraft lovers, these guys had two F-4's, fully armed on the tarmac , flight ready ! Still in camo green ! Yeah c'mon....said they fly 'em all the time.
