Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.
-
90 days, 100 days, the 10 days can really be variable depending on how fast the hair grows. the people who did my hair test told me 100 days, but this also was something done for court and not pre-employment.
900,000-tons-of-steel Thanks this. -
Here's a novel idea: Don't expect to get a job in trucking (or any other safety sensitive occupation) until you've been clean and sober for at least one year.
I fully support an individual's right to do as they please, up to and until your actions affect the rights (or safety) of others. Then we have an issue. -
Not sure who this comment was intended for but if was me then maybe you should have read what i asked. -
-
Hell, i thought it was an honest question.. never had them ask for hair samples and heing a bald guy it made me question the logistics of obtaining the hair sample they asked for
-
I see it as an honest question.
I'd also tell them they can drug test me to DOT standards and that's it. And since a hair follicle test is not DOT approved, they don't get it.
Past that, it's intrusion of my privacy.
And I don't tolerate the mandatory drug testing as it is well.
I have been in the military all my life until I retired. Had my fair share of soldiers I had to counsel for drug use.
The only "war on drugs" as far as I am concerned is a figment of the governments imagination.
It's a control issue and I hate allowing the PTB any more control than they deserve. -
DOT reg or not, Good Luck on getting that job when you tell them not to pull your hair
-
Won't be the first time I tell a perspective employer I do not agree to their terms.
If they will do that to you BEFORE you work for them, what will they do after you go to work for them. -
