Wow, Crete driver just pulled in bob tailing here in Fernley, NV. Only been with Crete for 9 years but has 6 million career miles listed on side of truck. If that is true pretty #### impressive. That's 140K miles/year for 43 years straight, doable I suppose but ####.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Well the bad is I am getting in a reset that I don't need, the good is I should be on a trip that I can knock out 2900 or so miles over the next 5 days
Dead heading about 800 miles up into Washington for a load of onions and taking them to Dallas. Don't know if they will let me drop them at the terminal Wednesday and get something else Thursday morning or if I will have to deliver them myself on Thursday but sure going to try and drop them. The weather is looking great for the coming several days up here so several different traveling options to take.
Got to find me a 5 gallon propane bottle still along with the attachment for heating the onions if necessary, unfortunately both the Wally world and the Lowes down the street were out of both. Oh well got the grill fired up again with some flat iron steaks marinating to help finish off a leisurely day.Kutina Thanks this. -
I've seen the comments on that other thread. I believe anyone who's spent any time in this field should know it's not all lollipops and roses. In fact, most would tend to lean on the negative side. It's rare that drivers make that many positive comments about their jobs. We here at Poly get to compare what we do here with the jobs we came from. I just know things are much better for me. Crete was one of the other companies I drove for as I've mentioned. That's why I like to read things on that thread. I knew what you were getting at when you made those comments. No driving job is for everyone. I respect all other drivers wherever they choose to drive. This thread helped me get here to Poly and I'm glad I found it. People are going to believe whatever they choose to believe. The positive posts are nice to see. Thanks again for all the info. on here. Take care out there!

A pleasant, easy day today. Managed to find a propane bottle at the FJ in Winnemucca and got the heating attachment at a store nearby. A real nice drive up US 95. Very little traffic and some real nice scenery. Made it to Ontario and fired up the grill to finish off my last two steaks. Got Basic Instinct fire up on the tube, Sharon Stone was some kind of hot in that movie
