You have to remember that the WLL is 1/3 (IIRC) the actual breaking limit on the securement device. So if it is rated at 6,600# (3/8" chain) the actual breaking limit is 19,800#.... so you're not really securing it with just 10k on a 20k piece. The DOT have already taken into account the stupidity of most truck drivers and made regulations to curb their neglance LOL

I prefer to just load 1 single 45K coil on a stepdeck. Chain and go.... I give you guys props for hauling multiple coils. That would take up way too much time for me.
