I've worked on the HVACs in several trucks, especially under the bunk, and I advise keeping the animal well groomed to keep that stuff from plugging with shedding fur.
Most animals love it once they get used to it.
Advise on taking my cat with me please

Cat's adjust to a truck well. I would get it spayed or chop chop. I also seen cats leash trained. You probably would have to start young.
When I was younger I had a cat that traveled everywhere with me. Even on planes. I use to go to the vet and get him kitty tranquilizers. He didn't have a care in the world then.bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Pmracing and nightrider57 Thank this.

I haven't even got in a truck yet. If I brought my cat I think he would do just fine.
I rescued him from when he was scrawny, abandoned and had an ugly hole in his side.
He's very healthy now after 4 months. I fight with him all the time and he always wins.
He follows me everywhere.
He doesn't really want to go outside. I think he's scared that he will be abandoned again or get attacked.
The thing I would worry about is the heat in the cab if a person can't run the A/C because of the idle restriction thing.
What do people do about that heat issue? Cat / Dog or not.
