I was passing a truck while going by a scale sign once. The scale was hardly ever open anyway so was not thinking. Well anyway the scale was open. I did not notice till it was too late. No one came after me but then he was pretty busy anyway.

I always thought if you had scaled at the truckstop you did have to stop at the scales along the highway.Giggles the Original Thanks this. -

If you blow the scale after getting a red light on the prepass, if they don't chase you down do you get a ticket in the mail or does the next scale know you blew the last one?
-
Just an FYI on this thread that jogged my memory from a conversation I had with an Oregon DOT man one day. PREPASS brand does not work in Oregon. I had to go find this to be sure.
Why do I get a red light on my PrePass transponder?
The identification number that your PrePass transponder transmits is not entered in the Oregon computer that runs the Green Light system. The vehicle identification system is receiving the signal from your transponder, but it has no computer record linked to it. The people who run the PrePass program, HELP, Inc., will not allow Oregon to enter the transponder number in the Green Light database and use their transponder for weigh station preclearance here. If you have questions about that policy, please contact PrePass at 1-800-PrePass.
here is the link to the site that came from. http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/MCT/pages/green.aspx -
Thank you GR8, I was referring to CA and in circumstances that if the scale was open, I got a red light on the prepass but blew by, would I get a ticket in the mail or would they know when I got to the next scale? Would prepass transmit that info at the next scale?
