Sounds like things are going pretty good for you so far. Congrats for making it this far. You'll be filled with tons of stuff this week. Most experience a lot of the same stuff their first week. However, many things can be different in your experience. Don't always get to see the trucks available on your first day of orientation. Orientation does start on Tuesday but not nearly every Tuesday. With the new additions you should be looking at some newer trucks than 05 and 07's. Good chance it'll be an 09 or 10. You'll find that more drivers do take care of their trucks here at Poly. There's always some drivers that suck at keeping their stuff up as it should be. Give some things some time and you'll find that many things are different at Poly. Remember, not a trucking company. I plan to be on the yard tomorrow(Wed). Maybe I'll see you going in and out or whatever. Good luck with everything this week. Hope your 1st ride is a good one and may your maiden voyage here at Poly be a good one.![]()

Well made it down to the casino just west of Albuquerque tonight. Got another long day ahead tomorrow but should roll into GP sometime tomorrow night. Beautiful drive as usual down US6, US191 and US491. No word yet from outbound for Thursday but hoping some good loads still left on the board when they get around to me.

Elsriver drove me over last night to meet maninthemoon1 and have dinner at Denny's. We had a good time talking shop. Freight is slow here in GP right now. I got to the yard yesterday morning and was on the board for yesterday but didn't get an offer. I'm gonna check at 0800 and see where I am on the list. Heard rumor that our recent hiring is coming to an end soon. You know how rumors are though...

Made delivery in Appleton,WI Monday morning. Got backhaul info at 1100. Went to Bensenville,IL & picked up plastic pallets going to our Cottage Grove,MN facility.
While enroute to pick up, outbound called with multiple loads. I chose a five stop mom/pop going to WA. Then yesterday morning before I left outbound calls & asks if I could cover a Lowe's DC load going to Cheyenne because the previous driver brokedown before ever leaving Cottage Grove. The problem was that the driver didn't notify dispatch till yesterday morning just before they called me. Therefore the load was already going to be late. Was told they were trying to change appointment to later in the day.
My break was over at noon, so I decided to hook & pretrip early to save time. Found a clearance light out on trailer & the right trailer turn signals would not flash. (Murphy showed up)
Took the trailer to the shop (didn't know we had a trailer shop at CG till yesterday). Tech said the turn signal issue was in the truck, not the trailer. I didn't believe him because the left side turn lights were functioning. After checking the pig-tail & hooking to a different trailer to see if the result was the same, I decided I should look a the fuse box. Guess what I found? There are separate relays for the right/left trailer turn signals.
The ship didn't have the relay. Drove to NAPA auto parts. They didn't have it. Went to Peterbilt that is close by. No dice. Called the closest IH dealer (30 miles away). Yeah we got it. So tracking down this relay caused a 2.5 hour delay.
But not to worry. The Lowe's appointment was changed to 1330 today. So Murphy, you can kiss my.....
