XLSDraw, I strongly urge you to speak with a recruiter. Some of those questions you won't get a 100% answer on.

Aswell, depending on how soon you plan on switching Roehl currently has a hiring freeze on Florida. Personally confirmed this twice so far. (Once being confirmed today). They are planning on lifting the freeze pretty soon. I won't provide the ETA she gave me because I will not speak for Roehl on those parts since it is not my place.

Well back in the Great White North again. Been out west, UT, AZ, NM, and TX. It was nice and warm. Got out to unstrap this morning in 15 degree weather and I forgot what I was doing. :O) it will be nice to get home tomorrow and see the family. Since Jan 2nd I've been home 3 days. Daughter really missing daddy. Usually not out that much, but I did get to see the extended family while in Phoenix so it wasn't all bad.

I saw a comment about 70 mph.... Ya, I would agree. I would have had an extra 8-10 hours available if I could run 70. Also, I wouldn't have had to get up at 2:30 this morning to be able to make my delivery time. Just sayin! :biggrin_25522:

Yeah, I am not whining about it just in cases like this it would be nice to be able to do. I'm now waiting on what to do as delivery is supposed to be 07:00 tomorrow, and after doing over 1800 miles in 3 days I sit 100 miles from customer, with 26 min left on 70 until midnight tomorrow. I would also like to say I did inform fm that I would not be able to make delivery, that I would indeed be 3-5 hours short, when I got load assnt.

LOL, at Woodfield Inn for the night, not a Roehl Driver yet but I did drive a Roehl Tractor/Trailer today. Marshfield weather report...it's cold (sux) and it snowed again, the wet slushy stuff (sux). Wondering if anyone on this thread has experience with the Veterans Apprenticeship program at Roehl. I'm prior Air Force and apparently qualify. I don't qualify for GI Bill, it's been a long time. Just appears that I will get some extra training over the next two years, not entirely sure how that benefits me or if it's a smart move. I talked to the military recruiter (alan) briefly and apparently am meeting with someone from the office about it soon. If you can give me any advice on it please PM.

Got a decal on my truck, that's all I know. Didn't qualify for anything. Just answered a whole bunch of questions over the phone in orientation office and that was it.

At Brintles Truck Stop in Mount Airy, NC. I am delivering in Salisbury, NC in the morning. I already got a pre plan. I will be picking up in Spartansburg, SC and heading to back to WI for a Saturday delivery in Wausau.

At felker brothers in glasgow, kentucky. Just hit 16 1/2 hours on duty. Got this load pretty much secured but it's time for a quick break. Then I have to tarp it. But I'm no gymnast. Getting myself up there...difficult but not impossible. The actual tarping will be easy. I won't make it down in one piece though. This is assuming that on my 30th attempt of the evening I can get my lumber tarps up there. But Roehl got out their whip and told me to do it so that's all I really need to be able to get the job done. I probably won't be posting for awhile since I'll most likely be in a coma when I fall 13 feet and land on my head.
