I attended 1 day of orientation but had to leave due to the fact I didn't like a policy of theirs and the old Qualcomm system. I didn't think anything of it until I started reading about what 'dac' reports are about and amazingly read that they can leave a negative due to that! I had no idea whatsoever and nor I did not sign any finalized hiring paperwork or set a trainer date or anything, I did go through another full physical on the first day. I don't want a bad record on my report already. My question is should I contact the company whos orientation I left and offer to pay for the physical in return (on their word) that they don't put a negative on my DAC or what? I have orientation next week for the new company and I honestly informed them that this happened and it didn't seem to stop anything, so maybe I'm over worrying. I don't want to be on the DAC blacklist, scares me to no end reading the horror stories! Thanks!
Attended 1 day of orientation, had to leave, scared of DAC negative now.

Thanks. I just have put so much into this already (time and money) and I don't want to start things off on a bad note. As a newbie, I don't know all the questions to ask up front or what to look for and even just in a few weeks of researching companies I'm getting much better and more thorough at knowing what to ask and look for in a company. Thanks.

Just be prepared to answer any questions about it honestly. It won't be anything any prospective employer hasn't heard before. Good luck!
(I admit...I'm curious...what policy could you not agree with? This is for my own curiosity and will not be reported on your TTRDAC! You don't have to tell if you'd rather not.....just sometimes makes good conversation.)RAGE 18 and CondoCruiser Thank this. -
You're going to give yourself an ulcer. Stop worrying. You'll be fine.

Don't sweat the small stuff but just because you don't like a companies policy is no reason to just up and quit. What was so bad about their policy and the qualcomm system?Every company has qualcomms so you had better start learning them.
mje Thanks this. -
it should not even hit a DAC report yet,as a trainee the only thing that would for sure hit is a neg drug test. but remeber you disspute DAC reports.

When trucking companies are looking to hire, they are looking for things which REQUIRE them not to hire you. Some guys have an idea that it's the trucking company that is scrutinizing you. That's not the case, generally they want your butt in the seat of open trucks they have. What they are looking for is things which their insurance company or FMCSA tell them disqualifies you. leaving an orientation is kind of a bonehead play, but I doubt if that company will even report it. Wait a couple months and check, you can order your DAC report sent to you once a year for free.

We need to take you out back and toughen you up. You are going through three cases of vaseline the first year regardless.
You get one free copy of your DAC a year. Use it wisely. You can also dispute it from here.
