Ok, I've actually never run 5 north of California. Only run 84 in Oregon a couple times, a little 5 in WA, and mostly I-90.

So there I was, just finished fixing the truck again ( almost daily routine ) when I get a call from JB Hunt, do I want a local gig hauling frozen food, 5 days a week, home every night, and a starting pay north of 1K a week............ may have to think about this one.

Met and bs'd with piratetrucker for a good while and had dinner. Cool ### dude defintely a nice break from same truck stop bs. Ran a whopper 130 miles today, heavy ocean spray load on top of that. 515 appt then chunky unpaid deadhead home, another 70's not a cloud in the sky type day. Minus crap freight love fla

But then again
Drivers tell me this. So how much faith can I put in that -
Made it to cons in CT. Serious snow, I-84 basically one good travel lane, snow banks squeezing out other lanes. Lots of ice, and hard packed snow. East of Waterbury is when it starts to get bad. Went north on I-91 at Hartford and no better. I imagine farther east is even worse.

Except the snow banks aren't 3/4 way up the trailiers.

Got home. Had to park the truck in a different spot, and couldn't get my pick up out. Luckily it was a Sunday, so called good 'Ol Mom to come get me. My pick up is now a giant snowball, probably dig it out tomorrow.
