I have always used Verizon but getting tired of paying nearly $300 per month for mifi and phone. I looked at all of their plans and the most I can save is $30 bucks off of that price as I use a lot of data. Has Sprint gotten any better? Because I could use a 4G Android from Sprint to setup a mobile hotspot with unlimited everything for half of what I am paying with Verizon.

If u still have Verizon, try to switch to E-wireless,they wont charge you anything coz they have some contract between them.I switched almost year ago and Im paying 120-130$ per month with unlimited everything.

I have T-mobile and it works very well in the areas I run. I often have coverage where my father in law, who has Sprint, has none.

You have to pay something like $50/month extra to use the mobile hotspot with Sprint, it is metered usage that is not included in the unlimited data plan. I activated it for one week & cancelled as it is completely useless, i never once got 4G connectivity. I went to Verizon & got a 4G MiFi hotspot (5GB @ $50/month), it has been great. i have 4G almost everywhere i go and it is literally faster than my home Internet connection. I am under contract with Sprint for a few more months & then I am going to Verizon for cell service as well. Sprint just plain sucks for truck drivers and I don't care what they advertise, they meter your data if you use a lot. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and dropped/missed calls, stay with Verizon.

Have had Sprint for over a year and it works great in "city" areas, BUT Several trips to SoCal and a 2 week trip out I-40 to Grove OK then finishing in Florence Alabama, Up to Nashville, then back to Reno. WAYYY to many times I DIDN'T have service or only PARTIAL service,( IE; Phone service but no text or internet :( ) $145 a month for 2 "smartphones" with unlimited everything is worthless if you can't use it!!! Love the phones, especially the wifes ( Samsung Galaxy II ) But again, worthless if you can't use them.

Yup, yup. Also, I don't know what sprint has against Texas, but I can't get a call out even in high-population areas like Dallas & Houston.

If your using the Android, take a good look at the Samsung Galaxy. The III is VERY nice. Just an opinion with experience.

Wow! That sucks even more considering we're thinking of moving to Texas within the year. :(
