    Hey Mark, i'm still researching rand 720 vs garmin dezl 560. I know you're not in sales, but maybe you can help me with this bit of detail. Best Buy shows the rand 720 on their website, but none are available. I called best buy and they said that they don't have any in any stores, or in the warehouse. She said that when this happens, it most likely means that best buy is no longer carrying the item. Is this true? Part two of this question. Best buy/geek squad offer an extended warranty for up to three yrs on all gps devices, including garmin, of course. I would like to have the extended warranty on the rand, but i'm not able to find one for the rand. Can u help with that too? Thanks.

    As far as I know Best Buy is still an authorized retailer. If they were not then Rand would not have them on their web site as such. They are pretty hot about keeping that up todate.

    I can check and verify.

    RNDDock won't start.

    Running As administrator, RNDDock fails to start, with no error code given. Shows up in the running processes list, and then disappears.

    I've had this happen before, but after a few times it would start. Now it won't start at all. Downloaded and re-installed, no change.

    1st look down in your start up tray. In the properties it may be set up to start up minimized. That can be corrected by right clicking on the shortcut and going to properties.

    Make sure you have .net framework 3.5 with SP. Sometimes if you have 4.0 .net framework it will not work.

    You might also try uninstalling with IO Bit.

    If it will not uninstall or offers a "deep scan" use that. It will clear out the registers.

    Great little program to clear out the "uninstall" if a program is hung also.

    Once cleaned out, reinstall the RVDDock.

    It sounds like you had a bad install somewhere and the msi installer might be hung.

    Leave unplugged for 12 hours, then charge on AC for 3. Turn on and try pressing the reset button also.

    If you are the one that just E-Mailed me, and the above does not work, then call Rand Support for and RMA.
