So I'm looking for that first job at the moment... I won't be starting till mid march so I got some time to get something lined up.

Can any experienced drivers tell me, if you had to choose, would you go with Knight Refrigerated (Squire) or Earl Henderson Trucking? Knight Refrigerated seems to have a decent training program and a somewhat respectable refrigerated division... Henderson seems to be a more respectable outfit.

    Any input is appreciated.

Wait... like in that movie Pulp Fiction? "Spider's caught a fly."

How often does your BF get home with Henderson?? And sorry, not to get too personal, but do you know what those miles/pay was right out of school?

he stays out for 30 days so he can have 4 days home. they try really hard to get u home when you want. the pay was not great but he was with trainer and after couple of weeks they were running like a team so he made decent pay. he has a great dispatcher so that helps a lot now. we cannot complain at all so far they have been great.

If those are your only 2 choices (I'm curious as to why) then I would do something else.

Stay away from the starter companies. Get off the couch and visit trucking companies in person. You would be surprised at what you find

those are just 2 companies i have in mind, but definately not my top choices; and i've taken that advice already and have found some really good companies. i had an interview with an amazing company recently. they don't have any work until it starts picking up... which is the beginning of march when spring comes and the weather isn't so bad.
