Not sure why you say that, so I'll ask. Why would I want to meet Gary?
Like I mentioned before, I don't know much about 'hotshot hauling'. I do feel a between crop farmer would have the equipment, time, and experience to underbid any loads I could find. Add that to the difficulty in finding return loads, competing with haulers running under the radar, hence making it not a hauling niche I would want to get into.
I'm not saying many people don't have the knowledge, equipment, and experience make good money 'Hotshoting", I just don't have it.

You mention that you got your trailer reworked "set-up right". How is that done? Do you have to get a DOT approved system/shop to do the work? IMHO doing fabrication myself the $1200 was well spent, of course I can't see much in the pictures. -
Thanks, we like to run nice equipment
and that set up gets over 10 mpg..
I was just lazy.. the trailer needed a set up to haul small cargo trailers, the parts to do it run about $900 I just didn't want to do all the welding so I had a trailer shop do it. -

I'm the one mean mouthing in this thread. Funny. I'm the only one here defending him ( probably not for long though) and I'd bet money I'm the only one here that's worked with him. The fact is the only people you may of had any conversations with that didn't like Gary is guys who didn't have what it takes to be in this business. I drove truck for a company for several years prior to becoming a HS owner operator. That's why it shows 17 years. Six years ago I started in Hot Shot with the help of Gary. I remember some of you guys killing the HS hauling forum with all your negativity, and I remember when Gary gave some of you guys the boot on his forum for acting childish. I've even met a few of you in person at truck stops. You don't remember me McGoo? Think back around 5 years ago. Two years ago I told Gary I wanted to try some local running. So when he heard one of his contacts in the San Antonio area needed a local truck he hooked me up direct. I've been running local every since. If the day ever comes that this local work dries up I'd go right back to M&H in a heartbeat.
I don't normally get on these forums, too busy for it. When I have a little time though I read through some of these threads. This thread is a flat out joke . McGoo, when I met you at a truck stop about 5 years ago you were running M&H down then and trying to recruit me to work for you in the same breath. You had a old Ford and a short trailer back then. That's the same thing your doing here today, trying to recruit newbies. Gary has a good forum where he offers free professional trucking advice to everyone. I've been to his house and watched him and his brothers in action, every incoming phone call is either a Broker, Shipper, or someone wanting to work with him. Gary will tell you himself he's no millionaire, he don't live in a fancy house. He gets up every morning and goes right to work. He's a good guy who tries to help as many people as he can. He'd never say this himself but some people are beyond helping.

You should fact check first I've never had a short trailer if you wouldn't deleted all the post people post you could looked up a picture. Or if you were smart enough
you'd searched here and found a picture of my trailer it's 40.5 foot long 64.7 long overall. Never met anyone that pulled for gary in person. all anyone has to do is do a search and they'll find the same thing said about gary in several places go over to auto expeditor some of his former clients are there. He got rid of the car haulers cause some were former clients and the truth was leaking out that his big paying loads were the stuff fiction is made of. He also cleaned up his For Sale forum cause a fool could see that his clients were dropping like flies and selling off. I see gary had to start working with people that didn't have new trucks cause his "pie in the sky" BS was running out of gas. I asked gary for a public online debate as to why he was setting people up for financial failure with narcissistic business ideas and very bad advice and requirements to work for his elite fleet. Come on now gary you remember don't you? How many people have you directly cause to go bankrupt?
You're a con man of the highest order. come out and play? You ruined many people with you crap ideas and the magic loads. Ask Ryan, Dutch and buster about all the money they made following the gary plan to financial success the madoff of hotshotting. I think your mad cause I saw through you from day one.
