It almost seemed like the ones flirting with the OP early in the thread, were the same ones coming down on her towards the end of the thread. Crazy

Wow. Thought I was the only one that had that in my contract when my dad and I had our fleet of trucks. It was rule #2 and had "zero tollerance". We were firm believers that if we pay quality pay, we expect quality drivers. Paid our drivers $60,000 per year and weekends off in the late 90's. In my opinion, a driver should be able to think for themselves and not have to rely on an electronic device to do their thinking/job for them. Back in the 90's, that was pretty good money too. In 6 years, NEVER had a driver quit and NEVER had to fire a driver. That being said...NEVER had a driver in an accident/incident the whole 6 years. Only sold out because dad passed away. All are free to believe to have their own opinions. Be safe out there drivers.

It all boils down to insurance and money. The lower the recordables on record, the less a company has to pay for insurance premiums. It's a combination of many factors that help reduce a company's costs for liability insurance - such as driver scores, incidentals & recordables, having an actual safety department or division, written safety policies, etc.

Don't tell her that. Melton is flatbed. Her next topic will read, " So frustrated, I lost my load and I'm headed to jail!"

Draped up and drifted out. Know what I'm talking about? Three in the morning, just stashed up my stash spot.

I really hated this part of what happened, turned in by a teammate...wtf? Its not like you hit a car or ran over some kids in a crosswalk. I hear a lot of things about teammates ratting someone out over some little crap like that just to see them get into trouble. I think people who do that just feel like they are better or something, I just do not understand that. As for the company policy thing, all I can say is... why ? GPS's aren't illegal are they ?
