Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

Thanks to that botched relay Sunday night, I'm sitting at 350 miles for the week. And what do I get for tomorrow? A 96 mile run from Dallas to Waco. Didnt qualify for layover, detention, or local pay either -- I hope next week kicks ### to make up for it.

 

Headed to wi Conway why are u letting these loads sit into the last min.. hopin I don't get sent to Canada

 

I'm certainly not encouraging the sitting and I have a pretty good idea how to be productive in a 65mph truck with elogs (averaged 3300 miles per week at my last otr company with outliers as high as 4500). But aside from one Marty McFly load, here I've been getting assignments that have just under 48-hour waits before pickup or delivery (or both -- in the case of last weekend's load). And they invariably cannot be early or relayed...

Today's assignment? 450 miles delivering to a tractor supply in 2-1/2 days (can't deliver early). That'll bring my final weekly mileage tally to a whopping 896 -- all with no layover or detention pay. On the plus side, it will afford me my 5th 34 hour reset in 3 weeks (4 of them taken while under load). I'd fire my fleet manager, but I'm getting the majority of these load assignments from night, weekend, or local dispatch (usually prefaced with "you're going to hate me, but I need you to...") I know freight is slow this time of year, but I didn't sign up for a part-time OTR job either.

 

Call ur fm and tell him give u more miles.

Finished a 2600 mile week that didn't start til Tuesday so not too bad. Parked in Waco for the night then to Silver City, NM. Hope to see warm weather in NM, but not counting on it. Have a good weekend you all and be safe.

Tuesday....Wednesday....well u get the Pic....
yes terminals do direct where you go but your FM can give them a call and try to get your a decent run
if your FM isn't sticking up for you - get rid off them , you can fire them

I hated my first ...liked the team FM ...and now love fleet 12 ...he has my back 9 times out of 10
Been here 14 months and never had a single week as bad as you are having...he has even paid layover when it was close to 48 bout few hrs short ...
