I know the area well, and yes, it kills the mpg. Tell your FM that you want to go out to the flatlands of Arkansas to Indiana so you can get Sarge and Sewerman-type mpg numbers LOL!!! :biggrin_2559:

    Evil_E Thanks this.

7.600 with 3 fuel stops this week, 7.15, 7.66, 8.02, and parked the truck for the weekend with 63 gallons used, 8.70 showing on the dash.

Run 55 to 57 up to 70 than 70 over to 81. It keep you out of all the hills and is only about 20 miles farther. Back in the day when I was running a 290 horse power truck you deftly learn to take the flattest routes.

    Evil_E and sarge26044 Thank this.

I like to say I drive a relaxed driving style. When you do that fuel mileage naturally comes with it. You'll have your good days and your bad. But in the end it all works out in the wash. In the past three weeks I have had anywhere from 5.8 on a tank of fuel to 8.2.

    sarge26044 and jxu417 Thank this.
