is landstar only company that will let you choose your loads allowing you to go where you want when you want? also when pulling dry vans what is the average you can make per mile? i am discovering being a company driver is not for me,after 15 plus years of self employment in construction field having hard time ajusting to this is the way it has to be done

Schneider Choice program you can choose your own loads also. Landstar pays a little more on average though.

We don't work by the mile. To us miles equals expense, not revenue.

i look into schneider in talking to finance it sounded like recruiting told me i would have to run 48 states to make 800-1000 wk told her didn't think so i like regional to well to think 48 states in over 2 years have always been home friday night it can be done

than what would be you average revenue minus expense for an average trip? and what would be your average trip? just trying to get information, the company i drive for does a lot of brokered frieght and there is no set rate but when i take the cost of me drving away from rate normally there is quite a lot of revenue left over i am also aware there is a lot of expenses i don't see just would like more of an idea how much the difference in revenue for being your own boss
