A question to any of the TMC drivers here-

I have recently noticed a large number of TMC trucks (5 or 6) running NB on Hwy 63 through AR and MO between the hrs of 10 and 11 pm.

They are usually spaced a couple of miles apart, and all of them look like they are hauling the same stuff.

Kind of funny, because I never have passed one going south.

Do any of you know where they are going, or are any of you running this route?

What were they hauling? I looked at the map, I don't know where they were coming from or going. We do haul alot of lumber out of AR. It is not suprising to see them hauling one way. They come from all over, load and go to one particular consignee.

I couldn't tell, the loads were tarped.

I have tried to talk to them on the radio, guess you guys run another channel?

    Shingles?

    Thanks for the reply!

We usually don't tarp shingles. Just west of there we haul alost of lumber. I have never loaded out of that area so I'm not sure what they are hauling.

We run channel 19, like every one else. Many drivers don't turn on the CB for the usual reasons.

I don't normally drive in your area. In my limited experience, stay out of Florida. Great freight going into South Floriday, nothing coming out. I would think that Pensacola would be different. There is a Southeast Division starting up, you just might be in their area.

Yeah. Sod.. Or palm tree's is about all that usually comes out of FL. I was there once, just to say that i was. I don't care to go back, unless it's to intentionally lay over and get a 34 hour restart.

I had a a load of sod once. I had to load 2 miles out in a cow pasture. After all day and that hard work in the rain no less, I was paid a whopping $59.00. I've been there twice. Great pay going in, lousy pay coming out. I would consider going to FL again, for the right paying load.

TMC had you hand load a flatbed full of those 1x2 or whatever foot patches of sod?

Of course not. Getting out of bed for $59.00 is hard work! I did have to strap it, tarp it, drive, untarp and unstrap in the rain.
