Why would you buy a kenworth over a freightliner?

and some of you should try looking at the truck paper. freighliners with the 12.7 are climbing out the roof in vavle. As for shows. I have seen plenty of freightshakers in the shows and many that hands down have smashed any pete or kenworth there. but im not worried about how my truck does score at a show. I am worried about how it scores at my bank when i cash my check and have bills to pay

Ummm, NO! Freightliner was bought by Diamler/Mercedes, which also owned Chrysler for a while, but then dumped them.

But to the original post, if you have a good local KW dealership, but not or a poor Freightliner shop, would be a good reason. Yes, there are more Freightliners on the road, and more dealerships, but if you have to wait 3-4 days to get a repair, what is that worth? Depending on the model, Kenworths were/are the heavier duty rough service trucks of the Paccar family.

All trucks aren't as good as they used to be. And both Kenworths and Freightliners are usesless without a trailer and a driver in them so It's not the truck it's the trucker..

You've obviously never had a studio Kenworth the largest sleeper under a house. Freightliners are 'cheap' because they're 'cheap'. I want a nice truck that will last. And am very willing to buy a truck that's more money to get what I want. I am in it 90 percent of my time, so for all intensive purposes it's my home, I wouldn't buy a cheaply made house either. Also, there are Kenworth shops everywhere too. You like what you like, but I also got the same mileage in a W9 that I do in a Cascadia.

    I have driven a T600, T800, Pete 359, 377, Cascadia, Century and a couple macks and binders.

They all are cheaply made. The Pete and KW cabs are narrow small. They are also not very tall. I do however like the aerocabs on the KW way more than a Pete any day of the week.

But I love the elbow room in my Century. It's a work tool. To make me money. If I care to hand someone an extra $25-35,000, I would RATHER put that money into a savings account and take my wife on a cruise with it every year for the next 10 years, thank you very much.

Well my wife is in the truck with me, so we will get the truck we want and enjoy so life is better for us. I have also driven pretty much everything on the road including a cabover. I would rather be comfortable and save money in the long run. Some people don't care, we do. To each their own.
