They hire teams all day long. Speak to a recruiter. There is no pressure and they will sit on the phone with you until your questions are answered.

I dont look at team runs at all. Sorry I couldn't help you more. The company is as good as it gets out here in my opinion.

    SheepDog and Lenrod Thank this.

My experience is still awesome. January was a slow month because of a poor choice of loads on my part but, i didnt sit. I made adjustments to adapt to where the freight is running and yesterday i finished at my best gross and net revenue week ( mon-mon)since i signed on Oct'12. This week i only booked one run to the north east so I can visit family. There are some good guys here on this thread. I follow a couple and owe my success to them. If you read it you know who they are.

    Good luck!

I would post numbers but some of these kids cant handle this new guy rippin it up. Lol ut oh I stirred the pot. Just kidding ..... lol

I doubt teams do high miles here as I see very few team loads on the board. Possible better in the van division.
I do know Mercer hires teams and does get a few team only loads, just not regularly

Personally I haven't been doing great lateley. Made the mistake of good load going to Texas. Then spent two weeks running around in Texas and OK.with loads, because I couldn't get anything out. Finally set last weekend for a load to Ms.
Unloaded in MS yesterday morning. had a reload 130 south going to IL. Great.
Load sheet showed 41K. Got it loaded at 46K. Couldn't haul it for over weight. Now I sit. Hopefully I get dry run fee. You know how long that takes to get.
Last week I only grossed 1600. So far this week 1000$
I would be doing better if not trying to get back to upper mid states, trying to get near the house as I've been out for a month.

    SheepDog Thanks this.

You can also ask someone if the have any old straps, as you can trade them in for new at Mercer for $8 I believe. $8 for a $26 strap at a truck stop is a great deal.

3 weeks ago I grossed by best week ever $6870. Since then I have been doing ok. Nothing to write home about. Been a little lazy. I did notice freight picking up this week and next.

    My past week .
Booked 10 miles from home. NC to PA 19k 2.87 p/m 8ft tarp 587 miles.
    PA to KS 11k 2.41 p/m 8ft tarp. 200 dh 1067 ld
Dh 145 to OK then load canceled.
Got OK to OK 45 dh additional 36546k 211 miles no tarp 3.01 p/m
    OK to TX 111 dh 31k 380 miles 2. P/m
There were a lot better choices than that last one. I need to get to the house and it set me up for a load home.
    I booked TX to TX 31k 6ft tarp 87 dh 270 miles 3.03 p/m
Booked AR to VA 43k 179 dh 1103 miles 2.12 p/m no tarp.
    Then home.
I already booked a load yesterday for 3/27 p/u 10 miles from home again.
I can't believe it but it had already ran the board.
NC to TN 30k 8ft tarp 10 dh 538 miles 2.85 p/m. I've hauled this load last week they are never 30k closer to 20k.

Just posting the truth. It ain't great so spare me the drama.

Flatbed22. When you post p/m rate for a trip is that just for the
loaded miles or both the loaded and empty? Plus which ever way your postin
is that your gross or dose Mercer still have to get their cut out of that figure?
    Thax
