    Sorry for the Spanish title but my daughter is teaching me truckers Spanish so I can communicate better at the shippers/receivers. So far it has been a huge success with the forklift drivers and dock managers.

    What I want to know is where are all the trucks? None in Fontana, None in Mira Loma, None in Phoenix, None in Stockton, on the west coast, Rockies, Texas .... no trucks. I was in Fontana this morning and there are drivers from the Feb 14 orientation still waiting for a truck ... not to mention a whole table full of new mentor finished drivers waiting for an truck. I come off workers comp next Friday and I'm just wondering how much more waiting I'll be doing before I start making some needed cash.

    How does a company as big as Swift run out of trucks yet they fill every orientation class to the gills weekly. Something has to give sooner or later! If you believe the Swift haters the weekly turn over rate is something like 125% so doesn't that mean there should be 25 extra trucks free weekly that aren't filled by the 100 who are replaced (I'm not good with fancy numbers so I am probably looking at it the wrong way)?

    Maybe the most important spanish line that you will need to know while at Swift is, "Porque lo infiermo tu no pagar a mi mas"? Or, "Why the hell dont you pay me more"?

    You don't NEED to learn it but what's the harm. So far it has helped me get unloaded first in a long line of trucks, fast and the location of empty's in large yards. All that reward just for speaking to the forklift drivers, dock managers and yard dog drivers in their native tongue. Seems like a good enough reason to learn a few trade phrases in Spanish. I wish everyone spoke perfect English but the fact is they don't and are in no hurry to learn so I try to attract flies with sugar and not vinegar.

    I've never had to learn it, and I don't intend to.

    I'm sick of being expected to comply with people that expect special treatment because they are too lazy to learn our language.
    And I should not have to learn another language to survive in my own country.

    Maybe we shouldn't be trying to attract flies in the first place.

    the way i see it, and dont get me wrong, the less drivers/trucks, the more miles available to the already mile starving driver that are here.

    Try going to L.A. U need Epanish done there I feel u wanna be in this country then learn English or get the hell out we should not have to learn it I can't stand it when I'm in a truck stop and some foriegner is on his phone speaking its rediculouis.

    phoenix has plenty of trucks or did not long ago available, what they need trucks for when 1/2 those new drivers are not going to make it threw training and gov gets a kickback for hiring each driver so they hire hire and hire to keep that free money rolling in .

    ya hat Mac 30 is a joke and they only offer it to gold or higher how is it the driver fault if they are Bronz when Swift controls the miles they get?
