When it comes to the DOT. Anything goes, they can pretty much make up anything that might be at fault and there is enough lawyer speak in the the books to put something on paper.

I was in a Canadian scalehouse a while back and hey had a poster saying a driver can communicate to officers with sign language . Did anybody else see this ?
I know it was after Canadian carriers were upset about MI DOT turning a bunch of Canadian drivers around at the border . -

Speaking and understand the English language is a safety issue. You need to be able to communicate with emergency responders in case of an accident and be able to read and know what road signs mean. These are basic but very important requirements. Too many drivers cannot speak the English language. Every other country has the same requirements. We should be no different.
TRKRSHONEY and 58Skylane Thank this. -
JoeyJunk already posted the reg but here it is quoted.
I find it ironic, how does someone that can't read the regulation or that pamphlet know what it says?joseph1135, Mommas_money_maker, aiwiron and 2 others Thank this.
