I worked at MBM and most of the routes are night time , usually start at about 8-10 pm to end at about 11 am. All night up , good money really good but night shift and OTR.

Bottom end guys makin 60s top guy lil over 90k and avg is mid 75-80k. Most guy say really depends on your routes as to where u fall in the mix.

I just want to say that working for any one of these companies is not for me. Ive worked in the beer industry and Ive seen the guys from frito lay and coke and other snack and beverage companies alike working and what they have to go thru. I know Mc Lane pays the best out of all these companies and if your gna go for one of these it should be Mc Lane they have the best benefits and pay. Its just that they have soo much work your too tired to do anything on your days off plus you'll have to work nights. Man forget that! I like driving not being a stock boy! This is a good job for a young fit person who is barely starting off and wants to learn the ropes and learn how to deal with customers and get a little bit of driving experience. Ive seen those guys out there most of the time they are in a 28" when I see them in the 48"s its usually 2 guys. So good luck man and no you don't want to go to sysco. Why go to sysco when you'll be doing the same thing for Mc Lane only making better money with better benefits and using better equipment.

False sir Sysco makes more than Mclane. Mclane has waaaaay more case on their trucks 2k plus versus not more that 1k on average at sysco. The work is only has hard as you make it most sysco drivers average $25 a hour. Yes the hours are long but once you get used to it, its easy to do, I feel insulted that you'd say its a job for someone barely starting off. I have coworkers who have been here 20 years makin over 100 a year, its a job for someone who doesnt mind working and wants to get paid foodservice drivers are some of the highest paid drivers in the industry. If all you want to do is drive OTR and Regional work is what you need to do but dont knock our choice.

Lol... ####, my bad man! I wasnt knocking you or any of the food service drivers. I agree that job is hard as hell I was just saying it be easier for a young guy starting off cuz its a real physical job but yes u r right it does take a certain type of individual to do that job. I didnt even know sysco paid that well?

That's false also. I have seen many young guys fail at this job. Age has nothing to do with the job. The right attitude does. I have been doing this type of work for over 10 years now, I am only 38 and of the 3 foodservice companies I have worked at, I have either been the youngest or one of the youngest there. Most drivers at my current employer have been here 15 plus years.

Lol ! Man you guys can keep that food service job. I wouldn't work there if they paid me 100k. Whats the point your too tired and exhausted to enjoy it. Plus your back might go out since you have to use it a lot. That is for a young school guy who doesnt have much experience in choosing a better job and thats my opinion.
