Headache rack - shield mounted behind cab. NOT the shelves where you keep your aspirin and pain relievers.
Mud flap - rubber or plastic guard behind tire to stop flying debris. NOT your underwear.
Chain ties - inboard securement point for cargo chains. NOT rapper jewelry.
Strobe lamp - Warning lamps required on most over dimensional loads. NOT the lighting equipment at a rave party.
Rags - tarps. NOT a feminine hygiene product.
Belly load - placing freight in the center of the trailer. NOT the no.9 combination dinner and a six pack of Corona at the Mexican Restaurante.

We use over-center cam binders. they look kind of like snap binders, but a cam in the middle actually does the tightening and "snaps" closed. Suicide is also more humanely referred to as Eye to the Side, and Shotgun as Eye to the front. Skidded as Eye to the sky.
