And you haven't bought your own truck why again?
Both my trucks are doing low 6 mpg hauling vans (reefers) and they're not special or equipped with mileage enhancing aftermarket stuff. An easy $1000 more TTT just from fuel based on your numbers, on top of an already strong net.
Not knocking your performance.. you had a great month. Just pointing out a huge upside right there for the taking by leasing on your own, more fuel efficient equipment.

I could definitely improve fuel economy by keeping the truck under 60mph. And the Detroit has never had an overhead run on it either. I keep pushing for it, but it gets nixed. Also would like to swap the 10 for a 13...
Fuel economy doesn't affect my personal bottom line, and the owner pretty much tells me to hammer down and not worry about it. So I do what I'm told! -

Solids numbers for a February -
edit: Ok, got the EZ-Pass passwords - Tolls for my two transponders in February total $518.04.
The boss is always puzzled when I try to explain my toll avoidance routes. He tells me not to worry about putting a lot of effort into figuring that out; just a cost of doing business. <sigh>Last edited: Mar 2, 2013
blanco Thanks this. -
February has been a roller coaster but the numbers aren't too bad, yet also not too good.
9 Loads...$25,750 Gross
Fuel...$10,645.03 (Includes Reefer)
Mileage...15,300 (Includes dead head and non direct routes to avoid tolls, weather, etc.)
Tolls...$263.19
Expenses...$2,040 (Insurance, Truck Payment)
Lease...$2,575
Net...$10,226.78 (Current load is a hold over until Monday and I was paid $750 to sit on it so net goes to $10,976.78)
Not the best, yet not the worst either for a February I would guess. About to put another truck on with this guy and see where it leads. Hopefully I can reach my first quarter million this year.
Feedback, constructive criticism? -
the $1.51 / mile to the truck doesn't sound so good, but the volume made up for it. You're definitely racking up some miles. Not the way I'd want to do it, but it seems to be working for you.
