Caveot.......wintertime is slow for platforms and rates go down, down, down you need to get it and stash it for the slow times.

So are yall saying flatbed better then van, step better then flat? Any #s to compare? -
I sent the agent an email that I was empty and thanked him for the load. Is there anything else I need to do besides scanning the BOL's? I still do not have an advisor so I am using you guys, thanks.

...His company is called Donald Trump Trucking...ROLMAO

LOL, trust me, you're far better off here with us.......LMAO!! Nope, scan in your bills and fuel/miles slip with a cover sheet.
Now, do you have a printer/scanner in your truck, it not get one ASAP.....if you do then great you can download DirectScan from the LS site and use that.......costs $1 to scan you trip ppwrk and logs are free.......otherwise if you use Transflow or TriPak scanning it costs $2 for trip ppwrk and if you scan logs there will be a weekly fee started automatically that you will have to call in and cancel with Contractor Services. For now if you don't have a printer scanner I would only scan in trip ppwrk and mail in my logs in the prepaid envelopes they provide at orientation centers. Oh wait, you're probably on EOBR anyways.....I know it may not sound like much but every penny adds up and one major key to success in any business is controlling your costs, when you figure up all of these little nickles and dimes they add up to a good deal of money over time.
Also if you haven't already figured it out you can prepare a cover sheet and fuel envelope with any info that won't change, then have a bunch of them copied at Staples and use those for scanning, that way there is not so much to fill out every time.....with DirectScan it will furninsh a cover sheet for the trip you are scanning. You will see when you do it a few times.
BTW whereabouts in CA do you live......I'm in NorCal in the hills East of Sacramento.
Later!!Dewey120, herfinharry and landstar8891 Thank this. -
Does it cost $1 if u scan in ur trk and email? Or can u even do that. My old boss used to say "chase the Pennies and the dollars will follow"... I like it!
