Has anyone ever done that Mira Loma, CA to SLC, UT load for agency CGI? I see out of SLC they have loads to the Denver area then right back to SLC. It appears to be all drop/hook and I would love to get rid of this roller van trailer.

I'ts probably FedEX freight...be aware, very time sensitive and you will be getting numeous phone calls for location updates but I get it....you gotta do what you gotta do.Dewey120 Thanks this. -
I am still on paper logs since the log department still hasn't setup my login and password. They said they would email as soon as everything is setup. How long should I wait until I call and ask what the hold up is?

Ahhhhhhhhhh CGI...GET IT ALL IN WRITING...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Trust me my BCO friend....I do not have enough time to write what they are all about.Just get it in writing and BE CAREFUL...They like to ''tell'' you that there is another load there waiting, till you get there...
They screw so so so many drivers...Even if you get it in ''writing'' L/S will side with them...I have the shirt....Dewey120 Thanks this. -
Hey Dewey after all that Conway stuff for england you will feel right at home doing FedEx stuff
I did those loads with us.
Maybe someday soon my wife and I can haul that stuff around.Dewey120 Thanks this. -
Not sure on the leg from SLC to Denver,I know a BCO that runs that alot and he seems to be happy. My second trip as a BCO was posted on the load board as Berdo-SLC-DEN-DFW. Got to SLC and Conway decided they did not need the truck for the next day. No truck not used and stuck in SLC the friday before Christmas with a load waiting for me in DFW. I did get a load of onions out and got to my DFW load but I ended up not getting home until late on the 25th and I lost alot of revenue.
The problems I have had are more with fedex and conway. These two love to call in trucks based on freight projections then when the freight is short they say no thanks. You may or may not get a truck not used. The truck not used is fine and dandy but if it leaves you stuck and you have other loads planned your empty moving or dumping that next load. As a new BCO I would like to build an agent base and get off the load board so I have chosen to stay away from the LTL loads because there are just to many problems. I got stuck in EL Paso last week when Fedex decided after I had been waiting on the yard for three hours that they were not going to have the freight to move. That trip was my ride to a new agent that had a weekly run back out to So cal. Two weeks ago I sat on the Edwardsville,KS yard for six hours waiting for them to fill my trailer for West Sacramento. Most of the fedex barns will take your cell number and call you when your wagon is ready, not Edwardsville so it was one of those check back in every 15 minutes type of nights. I spent the last two hours sitting in thier driver room.Last edited: Mar 5, 2013
russellkanning and Dewey120 Thank this. -
I may have jury duty tomorrow but if it gets cancelled then I will give CGI a try and hopefully they can use this roller van I am stuck with.
