MTI Training 3/4/13 Cartersville Ga

Today started the journey for twelve more potential employees for Millis Transfer. We made it through all the paperwork today and got the overview of the course. Seems like a good bunch with a lot of diversity. Greg made sure to tell us about Baritone and LB and a few other regulars here on the forum that have gone through the school. Working out of the manuals tomorrow and starting on trip planning. Shaping up to be a fast moving couple of weeks but everyone seems ready. Also Greg mentioned that half the class was going on a run to Black River Falls next week with him, should be fun!

Day 2 is in the books. Worked on trip planning today and working on the basic use of a map.( routing, Mileages, etc.) Also got our log books and started keeping up with our times to help everyone get a better understanding of how the paper logs work in case the E-Logs should happen to go down. Tomorrow starts the Millis 500, class has been split into two groups of 6 with half coming in at 7am and half at noon since there are only two trucks here in Cartersville now that the school in TX is up and running. Everyone is ready to get in the trucks and give it a try.
