    Hi Everyone,
I am looking into leasing a truck and was wondering if anyone had any constructive advice? Has anyone had any particularly good or bad experiences with different companies? Any company I should look for? Any I should stay away from? And once I choose a company to go with, anything i should watch out for?

I thank everyone in advance for your advice.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

run away from a lease as fast as you can. either stay a company driver or buy the truck from a good lender. you might want to get a little more hands on experience before jumping in and buying a truck. lots of luck

Says you are a new driver. First off, you don't know enough yet to run a trucking business. There's a lot more too it than holding the wheel. Trust me on this. Get some more time under your belt AND THEN buy a truck if you want. Lease/purchase is usually a bad deal for you. .90/mile??? Really? Bad bad bad. Buy a truck and lease it on to a power only company. Like a FedEx or Landstar or someone. Most don't go into business by "leasing" a business. It's not meant for you to own it. Get some years behind you, get some cash together ($10,000 is a good start) and look into buying your own and either leasing on to a power only company where the rates are decent and you can ask for more or get your own authority.

Greatwide took over the logistics company I once worked for. They had the 0/0 program or you could be a company driver. Some friends of mine went with their 0/0 program and to this day, maybe 10 years later, are very successful. Most stayed with Greatwide after their truck was paid for and some chose to trade the truck in for a newer one and still stayed there. A few paid off their truck and got their own authority and went on their own.

There are no good companies to lease from!! We are trying to save you the headache so steer clear of these deals or so called deals.

When you go by a used truck lot you are looking at a bunch of broken dreams, busted hearts ,& good intentions gone astray ! Please get some time as a company driver before thinking about buying a truck !
