Disagree that "that they all get reported to DAC". It just depends on the company and safety dept. I've (as have others) had little incidents that could have been reported but never were, and this was for a major carrier.mje Thanks this.

Every company has their way how to operate their company. With mine not awhole lot goes on the dac unless like for abandonement. But you hit somebody you pay most of it the company pays some and it stays off your record.
mje Thanks this. -
What company do you drive for?

Many of you will disagree with me, but here goes. If I where to screw up and hit another truck, I would man up and admit it. But the most I would ever pay is the insurance deductable. The company has insurance for a reason. That reason being that every driver they hire is potentially fallable. They should accept that as a cost of doing business. If you want to own a trucking company, and not accept a driver may screw up, then you better stay a one truck company.
