oh geeze...you sound like hubby...hes like maybe just for a lil while...we could run together and i can help you if it gets to be too much...at 300 a day just him working we are looking at over 2200 extra a month....with me working too...it would all be extra....plus his 2200.....thats over 7000 extra a month.....GRRRRRRRRRRRR..thats hard to say no to....we could pay off our pick up...and some other things in short order....heck i dunno....i change my mind more than the wind changes direction round here.....(its windy a lot here....weather said the other day...breezy...hubby said " around here that could be 70+ mpg gusts...."....TRUE STORY...)

cast you votes....should i work a bit longer if health permits????

 

see, if i was reasonable and mature like BHW....i would have my answer...(i mean that as a compliment)....problem is...i am neither

 

we talked about it...unless a situation arises where i have no other choice, then i will work...otherwise..gonna take it easy

well update....

the guy that is "training" CB is a putz...LOL he is ALWAYS late....he expects hubby to call and wake him up everyday..also comes to work with no food/money and expects CB to feed him...which he has been ..(but that stops today)...he is usually about an hr late to work..then calls and tells CB he just work up..and wants to know if he tried to call him to wake him..CB told him, no, its not my job...the 2nd day he did call and wake him up but the guy fell back asleep....since then CB hasnt called him..and i agree, its not his job to call and wake the guy up...

has been back and forth on to when CB will actually be on his own...word now is this friday...we shall see...saturday it was 2 more wks cuz they didnt have a trk for him...so who knows....hes just takin it one day at a time. he likes what he has been doin...workin 15 hr days tho...neither one of us like that..

but i am enjoying takin care of him and so is he..he is spoiled thats for sure..LOL

UGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH....do ppl in the oilfield know how to tell the truth???? i mean are they even capable of it????

was told 12 hr days....been 15 and 16 hrs....now today will be 18!!!!!!!!! or longer..depends on if he gets in when he thinks he will.....yeah we need the money...but i dont expect nor want him working those kinds of hours....so stinking mad and stressed out right now....enough crap already..cant something go our way for longer than a day or two??????????

 

Does he still get payed for the extra hours he works? Or he he on salary?

 

yeah he is still getting paid hourly...he is in his "trainin" period..so he is getting $18.00 an hr...he ended up with 18 1/2 yest..they did 5 loads...only required to do 3, and if you have THE TIME in 12 hrs..you get the 4th..BUT sup. to only do what you can get within the 12 hr shift...he was told sometimes it would end up being 14 but would never go past that...(once he completes his trainin period to goes to a per load rate)

maybe these young kids wanna work these kinds of hours...but hubby isnt a young kid anymore..LOL and i WANNA SEE my husband and spend time with him...granted, i am thankful he is working...just wish ppl could tell the truth around here, thats all

 

he talked to the boss and told him he would NOT work like that again...and if he needed to let him go, say the word....the guy told him ok and that no, he didnt want him to go....sooooo we shall see
