We're 100% food-grade at Prime. That being said, all students should get a tanker endorsement. We pull loads in palletized liquid totes that can trigger the rule that requires a tanker endorsement in reefers and on flatbeds.

No, not that I'm aware of. It is just "HIGHLY" recommended that you show up with your CDL permit, as you'll have less stress to worry about and be ahead of the curve on others and that is always a good thing.. :)

Funny thing how the DMV words it. It says that the company is responsible for paying for the permit, but then it says "unless taken prior to hiring date". So...you can't really get Prime to be responsible for that if you're not an employee yet. For me, I just look at it as an investment in my future career.

That I'm not 100% confident to answer, because I'm not entering Prime under that plan. I do believe they do reimburse up to some amount, but you should check with your recruiter to get a definitive answer.

News to me. We pull palletized liquids somewhat regular and never had any issue with not having a tanker endorsement.

119 gallon tanks, minimum of 1000 gallon total on the load. That's whether they're full or empty. Some states are already enforcing it... like the great state of HoustonTejas.

'Em boys are their own little world down thar! :biggrin_25523:
