My Letter to TA Corporate Office

    Hello,

    I am writing to let you know of a problem I had with one of your employees in the Seattle East, WA. store today. I purchased a pack of zip ties, which turned out to be brittle and not usable. 10 minutes later, I returned with the product and my receipt. I went to the register, and a girl named Kristin helped me. I filled out the paperwork with my information.

    She saw that I didn't have a phone number and said "We need a phone number". When I said that I didn't have one, she said "So... what, you're unemployed? Homeless? Just too cheap to pay for a phone?" and then said "You're a real piece of work" in front of about 15 other customers. Needless to say, I was horrified. She embarrassed me.

    I asked for the manager. She said "I am the manager". I asked for her to get her manager, and she replied "Oh, he's out walking around the lot somewhere." I said I would wait, and asked her to page him. She reluctantly went to the back office and emerged with another young man, whom listened to my complaint.

    I left feeling humiliated, and like the problem was unresolved. I cannot begin to explain how this ruined my day. I usually use a pre-paid cell phone, but I haven't renewed the minutes on it. For that, I was treated in a manner that was beyond reproach.

    At no time did I have a poor attitude. I am a soft spoken man, and say very little. It's unbelievable that in this day and age of economic extremes where every customer is important to the success of a business that one would be abused in such a fashion.

    Hate to see that happen...but unfortunately nowadays level of customer service is near 0...it's pathetic anymore.

    wow...thats awful...sorry...let us know what happens...a free dinner will probably be the answer..which of course DOESNT make up for it....

    I contacted them weeks ago. Not only was there no free dinner, but they didn't even respond!

    Thanks for the replies, that's more than what TA did, lol.

    we had an issue with the TA in jackson ga....i wrote to them and was called back and given free dinner passes for my husband and myself along with a letter of apology....he EVEN CALLED ME..and asked us to stop in and meet him...we werent in the area then tho....

    Congratulations. I have sent letters and made phone calls. They do not seem to care. It struck me odd.

    The on in Jackson, Ga. is a franchise. Might of made a difference.
    Same with me. I had issues with the shop in Richmond Hill, Ga. Filled out the survey at the kiskok. Not got a reply at all..

    not truckstop related but i will hijack a moment...

    we ordered Dominos back in january..1st off, it took 3 hrs to receive our order. then when we did receive it, it wasnt all there.

    was assured they would "be right back"..

    an hour later i called..."oh you are no. 10 in line'.....ummm no i am not, you messed up my order...

    30 min later, "you are no. 7 in line..."

    i spoke to the manager ,( we had a longer del time last time we ordered.) so i told him about that, as well as this issue. ALL IN A NICE CALM TONE......he told me, " if you have a problem here, solve it, dont order here".....i told him i would be calling HQ the next day. He told me "well let me inform you of whats gonna happen" he basically told me, they would refer me back to him...which they did..HOWEVER i was told my money would be refunded..(spent $54. had ordered pizza for the next day)..never did get our money back..and never got a call back either.

    fast forward...last week had a charge out of out acct. Dominos...ALMOST 700 miles away....that we didnt do. their solution..take it up with your bank....

    we havent ordered from them since that night in jan and NEVER will again....

    customer service in most places seems to be a thing of the past.....
