The best thing I like about those parameters is how it shows how many miles they expect per load. Guess who controls that your dbl not you unless your really bad with nats/eta and just lazy. I was shocked when I looked at bonus 80% fueling 97 days worked out of route was -7% eta 97%. But my fueling is killing me. Should b ok to make my first bonus.

Well, I spoke to my DBL about my performance metrics today and my numbers, needless to say I am not a happy camper. I have made bonus, under the old system every single quarter I have been with the company. Now it seems I am only at 64%!!!

My fuel compliance is at 84%, that is my fault, it will be over 90% by the end of the quarter....but I still got 18 points.

My ETA is at 94%, mainly because the first three weeks of the quarter I did not have the updated version of WF so they could not track my ETA, but still, 100 points.

Preventables, 100 points.

Here comes the fun part.

OOR % is 3.67%. Now, I run regional, the goal is 2%. The only time I do not follow the GPS is going to one shipper, because it has you go thru town, my route is 1 mile longer. There is no way for me to bring it down, because of this, I only get 8 points. 2% is to low a metric. Heck, one run I do is 101 miles for the load, but you have to drive 130, so I go 20 miles oor each time, and I do that run 3 times a week!!!!

% of days worked. I wouldn't complain about this one, because I choose to take weekends off, and if I worked one weekend a month, I would be at 100%, but I am at 74%. The kicker is, if you aren't at 100%, you get no points! None, nada, zero. It isn't like the others where if you aren't making it, you still get some points.

Needless to say, I find it impossible for me to make a bonus under this new system. The routes I run, with short miles being regional, make it impossible to have my OOR under 2%, which means I will automatically lose over 5 points, which means I will never be at 95%.

 

One more note. Idle % and over speed are no longer included in the performance metric. Why would a driver not just hammer down at 65 all the time now? It doesn't count against them, neither does fuel mileage.

If I can't get my bonus, I am gonna drive as fast as legally possible.

 

Whats the overall % you have to get to get the bonus, I dont recall.

 

At least 90

The one thing I dont like is the way the NAT/ETA is set up. Ive had a lot of 2-3 day 1200 mile+ mile loads with open delivery appointments this quarter. If I made good time on a long load and I want to update my eta or nat because I want to deliver as early as I can to get another load as soon as I can then why should I get punished? If I just had a load spanning over 3 days and on the 2nd day I know I'll be capable of arriving a couple hours early, I update my eta and nat... Im not gonna sit around for a few hours waiting for my eta original eta when I can deliver it early and keep running.

 

I dont know why it doesnt post all of my data up there. It shows it when I paste it in...

 

You have a 3 hour window before arrival and 15 mins after arrival to be considered on time. What ever time u put in pick up task for eta to final delivery is what they go on. No changing it.
