Huh?? What do you mean IP. If in reference to the Paper logs. Forget it, I tried that logic with the logs department.

 

Why don't you take the instructor and trainer course and then your two cents might actually be some accurate information

Student driver does not release the student from the responsibility of maintaining a log book. Electronic or otherwise. Orientation, class work, and pad time all must be logged on paper and scanned before departure with instructor.

My log lady hands out a copied sheet quick guide on how to do this and breaks down the days and times for whatever classification of new driver (experianced orientation, CDL hire with no experiance teainee or PSD student). She calls it "student homework".

I walk my student through the first day or two as he does his paper log by hand and leave them to finnish the rest. i review them for mistakes then scan them before we leave terminal. Don't even need a trip sheet if you scan the logs from driver lineup.

Student or trainee is gonna be clueless if for any reason they lose function of their QC long after training end and is left with a paper log they've never used or filled out before because their trainer did it for them. Besides I've filled out enough paper logs before Elogs, I'm not eager to relive that pain.

You didn't quote a post, so how is anyone supposed to know what you are referring to except that the general discussion here has evolved into student logging responsibilities.

Two things... I've done enough technical training to know what's up. Don't care to do more. Second without body language to soften literary usage sometimes we both come off a little more abrasive than we'd be in person I suspect.

Got a friend who is a devote Christian and his instructor did the same thing to him, told him to leave when a lot lizard came knocking on the door. He just simply called the police and told them what was going on. I don't know if I can tell the rest of the story but he has been with the same company going on 7 years because they reacted to the problem positively.

 

But the thing is that... at Prime you can always get someone worse as a trainer... I am happy with the one I have now and I live with his urine collection, he cursses at every car on sight, the dashboard is a dumping site, and gets mad at the mention of a shower... And this is a HUGE improvement from the insane maniac I was with... believe it or not...
Prime does not care who they put as trainers or how they keep their trucks.
