Congratulations! I wish you the best of luck. Give 110% every waking moment and you"ll do great. Do not stand around in a group of people who are talking about anything that anyone could consider objectionable. Use extremely polite manners at all times. Be clean, prompt, and professional ALL THE TIME. You are under the microscope there, and if anyone sees you acting in any way that is unprofessional... well... it will cast you in a bad light, and you don't want that.

And for the love of God, don't walk on the grass. Ever.

    No, I'm not joking.

And welcome to the family! Whenever I spend the night in NLR, I usually go down to the hotel and chat with the students. Maybe I'll see you there! You'll most likely know me if I tell you I drive TCD, I haven't run across another TCD driver hanging out at the hotel before lol.

Although we sometimes get some odd runs, our main running areas are Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and sometimes Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio and Wisconsin. We do a few Canada runs if you have a passcard. We also go to the northeast sometimes, however I notice that they don't like to keep drivers up there for a really long time, if I get a run going up there I'm usually back in the south in less than 5 days. In the northeast, we primarily run in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey. (These are all pickup and delivery locations, obviously we have to cross other states to get to some of these places).

Yep, forced dispatch unless you become an IC (lease purchase). I have to say I've never been sent anywhere that I was so worried about that I wouldn't go again... Even NYC. In fact, I'd rather drive in NYC than Chicago lol.

A lot of people don't like forced dispatch, but I look at it like this: I'm kinda lazy. Ok, really lazy lol. If I had a choice of taking loads, I'd probably screw myself over by refusing loads because I wanna watch TV instead of drive. Forced dispatch DOES force you to run... And in turn, it forces you to make money. Lots of it. :)

yea I agree with you on that nyc versus chi town I hate driving in that place. I don't mind forced dispatch it weeds out the ones that can't handle the life style so the ones that can make all that nice money.
