To be honest .......i was thinking along those lines.
Actually,combines are one off the few loads that allowed to be demisseble(did i spell that right?) overhere.
the head at the front and the combine behind(max lenght off the head around 25" to 28",any longer it is also delivered seperate)

i did a 1" tube 50ft one time 1780 miles for a plant it was 98lbs hardest part was trying to tie it down it had to lay flat

Speaking of moving combines, I liked the setup we had for custom harvesting. Truck, combine, hopper, and head all in one shot.

We pulled a set up like that with 32' hoppers.
We had single header trailers we pulled behind our service trucks.
