From what my recruiter said, any felonys or anything half way serious in the last 5 years. But I had a full background ran on myself so I could tell them everything. Better to tell them up front than for them to discover it later IMO.
mje Thanks this. -
Keep in mind that many states currently have laws in place protecting certain personal information from being obtained and/or used by an employer for hiring decisions. I would suggest you read up on your rights regarding privacy, etc.:

A background report pulls information using your SSN and DOB, so if you've had a job with a company where you've submitted your SSN & DOB (W4 form, etc.), then yes, that company would come up in the report.mje Thanks this. -
I am surprised at the intrusiveness of Prime. When my son-in-law applied there Prime asked for his past W2s from his past company who he was with for many years. He is under contract with his old company requiring confidentiality regarding his salary for at least one year after leaving there. His old company (not a small company either) verified his work, signed a notarized affidavit informing how long he worked there (years) and he provided Prime several year's tax returns but they still wanted his W2s for that specific company. He obtained legal advice about supplying Prime with the W2s and the attorney told him that would violate his contract. Besides, it's not Prime's or anyone else' business how much he or anyone else made. He asked me what to do and I told him to run for the hills and drop Prime like a bad habit. Makes one wonder what other hoops they make their employees jump through for no good reason other than unjustified intrusiveness.

It's underhanded, but legal and in today's times, that bottom line seems to be all that matters.900,000-tons-of-steel and mje Thank this. -
